Travel Poem

This journey is modern
Thousands of miles in a day
Chopsticks with rice after
Breakfast with tea.
Clinking china and clanking chopsticks.
Morning walking hot and sweaty,
Evening cuddling heater and sweater,
Where is my final destination?
Wherever my head rests.
My transient and tired body a reminder
This life is a journey and
My final destination will be
More glorious than arriving at a gate
With immigration and customs,
But the beloved face of Him
I have never seen but have known.
We greet: wai, bow, handshake, hug.
Together with the faces of the world I loved
When I traveled the beautiful below.
Together
We sing more joyfully than karaoke;
We eat more leisurely than three-courses;
We laugh more freely than parties;
We dance more exuberantly than disco.
Oh the journey!
Oh the life!
